Coffee & Lynch.

I’ve been spending late nights rewatching Twin Peaks, drinking coffee, and thinking about the owls; I don’t know if I’ve been drinking too much coffee because of the cold or the constant mention of it, my obsession with Agent Cooper, the woods, blankets, or anxiety. Dark places, ridiculous places, intuition, duality… allow your head to swivel. I like the way Lynch lets evil engender fear in weird parts of the mind. The music is amazing… The story goes far beyond the murder of sweetheart Laura Palmer.

It all comes with a certain degree of crazy. Feels like I’ve been taken for walks deep into the forest, and have become scared of dreams. So, if you are not put off by the strange and enjoy the nineties-soap-opera-ambience, you might fall for the town of Twin Peaks, and Laura Palmer, and everybody’s lives intertwining in little twisted plots told in a manner that is so ridiculous and corny at times. All the characters you’ll love and hate; the sweet dreams, and nightmares, and Audrey, Audrey Horne is love. And there’s always the kind reminder that small ‘heavenly’ towns are also breeders of hell. So many things to love.

David Lynch, I’d make you coffee whenever you’d want.

Also, this article about his obsession with coffee. “Black as midnight on a moonless night”
